Chasing Childhood.

There Are Elements Of Childhood That, Growing Up, Many People Abandon, Whether It’s Because They Have To, Or Because They Just Grow Out Of It.

I Am Now 21 Years Young And I’ve Found Myself Missing The Innocence And ‘Not Give A Fuck’ Attitude That Kids Have.

There’s A Difference Between An Adult’s ‘Not Giving A Fuck’ And A Kid’s ‘Not Giving A Fuck’. An Adult Usually Doesn’t Give A Fuck After A Few Alcoholic Go-Rounds, But The Innocence In A Child Allows For Them To Not Give A Fuck In A Way That Is Not Detrimental To Their Being.

I Miss That.

If Any Child Is Lucky Enough To Grow Up In A Place That Offers Love, Support, And Friendship, Then That Child Will Have All The Tools Needed To Be Happy.

As We Grow Up, We Start To Lose Our Innocence And Over-Emphasize Maturity, To The Point Where We Take Things Too Seriously And Lose The Qualities That Make Us….Human.

We’re Too Content On Growing Up Too Fast And Having Fun In Negligible Ways Until We Wake Up At The Age Of 45 And Realize We’re Having A Mid-Life Crisis Because We Didn’t Do Everything We Were Supposed To At Younger Ages.

Slow It Down. Pace Yourself. Take It Slow.

If We Can Re-Capture The Qualities Of Childhood That Made Us Great, And Mix Them With The Qualities Of Adulthood That Make Us Greater, Then In The End, We Can Be Better For It.

With All Of That Said, I’m Taking A Journey Back To Childhood Through Music.

On March 15th, 2011 I Will Be Debuting My First Music Project (Mixtape/Blendtape/WhateverYouWannaCallItTape) Entitled Chasing Childhood: Episode I: Journey Through A Dream.

Basically, It’s Been Written For A Couple Of Years Now, But I Haven’t Had The Chance To Release It Yet.

There Will Be More Episodes, And Until The Official Project Drops, I’m Gonna Leave Quotes From Different Songs So That People Can Get A Feel For It.

I’m Pretty Excited About It, Mainly Because I Want People To Hear What I Can Do, And I Don’t Want Cats To Be Shocked By It.

I’m In The Process Of Writing Episode II Now.
